Trust Your Gut. That B*tch Knows What’s Up!

Holy Fit Girl believes that food is our medicine, and our medicine should be our food. It took me a long time to get to the place of respecting my body in such a way that I pay attention to what’s going in it. It takes time, it takes effort, but getting to a healthy place is literally just one step at a time!

Fortunately, or unfortunately for me (however you’d like to look at it) because of my autoimmune diseases, Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism and Celiacs Disease, I truly have no choice BUT to eat well and clean. Both of these things are fairly recent diagnosis so I’m by no means an expert here. All I can do is share my journey, very openly, and hope that I’ll reach someone who is needing help and direction to either get started on a healthy path, or finally find ideas, tips, THE recipe…etc, that well help them start to heal from the inside out.

I’m here to tell you that eating well CAN be far from expensive. It is also NOT time consuming. Sure if you shop only at Whole Foods, which is gorgeous and I want to buy everything in there, but you can find the same great options at your local grocery store. From experience, I’ve found that cleaner eating is way less time consuming than not! I want to show you how it can be done on a budget, how it can transform your life and how you can get your family involved too.

Name the ailment, I’ve probably had it. I’m a health advocate by nature who is relentless about not waiting around to “see” if I feel better. NO! That’s up to me. And, it’s up to you, too.
